Select a featured photo for a timelapse


A Chronolog’s featured photo is displayed to users frequently, such as when users first visit your timelapse page or when they come across your Chronolog on the map. Choosing an interesting and accurate featured photo will encourage users to discover your Chronolog. 


The first photo submitted is automatically set as the featured photo, but you can change it at any time by one of two methods. 


1) Set a featured photo directly from the timelapse:


  1. Make sure you are logged in to the organizer dashboard
  2. Visit the timelapse page for the Chronolog you want to update.
  3. Pause the timelapse player, then scroll to the photo you want to feature.
  4. In the bottom right corner of the timelapse, click the Star icon button.
    1. If you do not see the Star icon button, make sure you are logged in.

  1. When the confirmation modal appears, click the "Set as featured photo" button to confirm the change

  1. The photo is now featured!

2) Set a featured photo from the photos tab of your organizer dashboard


  1. Make sure you are logged in to the organizer dashboard
  2. Select the 'Photos' tab

  1. Optional: Use the Location filter above the photo previews to select the log your looking for
  2. Find the photo, and click the 3 dots icon beneath the photo on the righthand side

  1. Select "Set as featured photo"

  1. Click the "Set as featured photo" button to confirm the change

  1. The photo is now featured!
